Clean Your Lungs Naturally: The 4-Ingredient Drink That Clears the Airways

Respiratory infections, sinusitis, and nasal congestion are common problems that can compromise our well-being, especially during the cold season or when the immune system is weakened. However, nature offers powerful combinations capable of purifying the body and strengthening immune defenses.

One of the most effective remedies is the natural mixture of grated ginger, onion, garlic, and lemon juice, an ancient formula used to clear the airways, eliminate phlegm, relieve cough, and reduce sinus inflammation.

These four ingredients possess antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and expectorant properties which, combined, constitute a natural treatment capable of purifying the respiratory system from within and helping the body eliminate toxins.

Main Ingredients

Garlic. Garlic contains allicin, a compound with powerful antibiotic, antiviral, and antifungal properties. It fights respiratory infections, reduces inflammation, and strengthens the immune system.

Onion. Onions contain quercetin, a natural flavonoid that purifies the airways, reduces sinus inflammation, and helps eliminate accumulated mucus.

Grated ginger. Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory thanks to its compounds called gingerols. It helps dissolve phlegm, soothes sore throat, and stimulates sweating to eliminate toxins.

Lemon juice. Lemons are rich in vitamin C, an essential antioxidant that strengthens the immune system and helps the body fight infections.

Step-by-Step Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 piece of fresh ginger (about 5 cm), grated
  • 1 medium onion, chopped or crushed
  • 3 crushed garlic cloves
  • juice of 1 large lemon
  • 1 glass of warm water (250 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of pure honey (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Peel and grate the fresh ginger.
  2. Crush the garlic cloves into a paste.
  3. Cut the onion into pieces or blend it.
  4. Place all ingredients in a glass container.
  5. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and warm water.
  6. Let the mixture rest for at least 30 minutes before consuming.

How to Take It

  • To decongest and purify the body: take one tablespoon on an empty stomach and another before bed for 7 consecutive days.
  • For cold or acute sinusitis: drink the warm, filtered mixture twice a day (morning and evening).
  • As a preventive measure: take one tablespoon a day on an empty stomach for 15 days a month.

Precautions

  • Not recommended for people with gastric ulcers or advanced gastritis, as garlic and ginger can irritate the stomach.
  • People taking anticoagulants or blood pressure medications should consult their doctor before using it.
  • Avoid consuming this mixture in excess: one or two tablespoons a day are enough.
