Main ingredients:
1 teaspoon honey — Μέλι (Méli).
A small pinch of baking soda — Διττανθρακικό νάτριο (Dittanthrakikó nátrio).
A few drops of water, optional.
Honey is commonly used in cosmetic products for its moisturizing properties and can help keep skin hydrated. Baking soda, on the other hand, frequently appears in homemade beauty recipes, although it can be irritating and disrupt the skin’s natural barrier.
🥣 Preparation
Place 1 teaspoon of honey — Μέλι in a clean container.
Add a small pinch of baking soda — Διττανθρακικό νάτριο.
Mix gently until you obtain a uniform preparation.
If the mixture is too thick, add a few drops of water.
🌙 How to use it?
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser.
Apply a very thin layer of the mixture to the skin.
Leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes.
Rinse off with plenty of water, without rubbing.
Then apply a moisturizer.
It is not recommended to use this preparation daily.
✨ What can it offer?
Honey can help keep skin hydrated and leave it looking smoother. Good hydration can make fine lines appear temporarily less noticeable.
Sodium bicarbonate — Διττανθρακικό νάτριο has alkaline properties and is popularly used in homemade preparations, but there is not enough evidence to claim that it eliminates wrinkles or rejuvenates the skin.
⚠️ An important precaution
Baking soda can cause dryness, irritation, or redness, especially in people with sensitive skin.
Before applying the mixture to your face, perform a small test on a small area of skin. If burning, itching, or irritation occurs, remove it and do not use it again.
Avoid applying it near the eyes, on wounds, or on irritated skin.
